Abstract:
The use of undercut anchors is not new in the concrete construction industry. Several mechanisms have been employed to achor bolts and to transfer loads from the bolt into the surrounding concrete. One of the primary functions of an anchoring mechanism is to insure that the bolt strength is fully developed so that no failure or slippage of the anchoring device occurs before the bolt strength is fully developed.
