Abstract:

The statistical analysis of an experimental investigation of the fatigue strength of deformed reinforcing bars is described. This investigation was designed and excuted to permit the effects of several specified variables--stress range, minimum stress level, grade of bar, bar size and type of specimen--to be determined by statistical methods. In addition, other variables that had an effect on the fatigue life of the test bars were identified. The experimental investigation is described in a separate paper.

Abstract:

An experimental investigation was undertaken to study the effect of the deformations, decarburization of bar surface, rust and mill scale and grade of steel on fatigue strength of reinforcing bars under repeated axial loading in air. The experimental data was analysed statistically.

Abstract:

Results are reported of fatigue tests on nine one-way, centrally loaded slabs reinforced with two layers of a square, smooth wire fabric consisting of No. 2 wires at 6-inch (15.2 cm) centers.

Abstract:

The effects of repeated loads on slabs of steel/concrete composite bridges are reported. The study was based on tests of a number of 1/8 scale direct models of a typical highway bridge and was aimed at determining endurance limits of slabs under repeated concentrated loads.
