            Abstract:
Because of the controversy surrounding the exposure of concrete to sulfate soils in recent years, the test method used to determine the sulfate concentration in the soil has come under scrutiny. The purpose of this article is to show how variations in the test procedure (that is, extraction procedures) can lead to substantially different conclusions about the severity of sulfate exposure.
