Abstract:
This course provides a comprehensive overview of ACI 563-25, Specification for Repair of Concrete, through a series of focused presentations covering both general and specialized repair applications. The program begins with an introduction to the purpose and structure of ACI 563 and a review of the foundational requirements in Chapters 1–8, including general requirements, shoring and bracing, concrete removal, surface preparation, materials, and execution. Subsequent presentations address waterproofing cracks using chemical grout injection, architectural concrete repair, and structural precast concrete repair, highlighting the unique materials, construction methods, mockups, acceptance criteria, and durability considerations associated with each repair type. Emphasis is placed on how ACI 563 reference specifications are used to manage variability, improve constructability, and achieve durable, high-quality concrete repairs.
