The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has recently introduced two new, separate certification programs that will replace the current Aggregate Base Testing Technician credential. The new Aggregate Base Testing Technician—ASTM Methods and Aggregate Base Testing Technician—AASHTO Methods programs operate very similarly to the programs professionals are familiar with. The difference lies in their separation on an ASTM and an AASHTO basis. Complete information on these new programs can be found here: Aggregate Base Testing Technician—ASTM Methods Aggregate Base Testing Technician—AASHTO Methods Orders for the new, program-specific workbooks (detailed above on each separate page) and exam-session materials can be placed with the ACI Customer Service and Certification departments. If you have any further questions, please reach out to the ACI Certification Help Desk at aci.certification@concrete.org or +1-248-848-3790. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we roll out this program change. We hope that this new layout of programs will better serve technicians and the industry’s needs for the best recognition of materials-testing competencies.
