The American Concrete Institute (ACI) recently attended the 2025 International Code Council’s (ICC) Annual Conference and Expo, October 19–22, 2025, at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. ICC is a member-focused association dedicated to developing model codes and standards used in the design, build, and compliance process to construct safe, sustainable, and affordable structures. ACI exhibited at the ICC Expo, where visitors engaged with ACI representatives to discuss the latest concrete resources relevant to code officials. Resources are available to building officials, on ACI’s Code Officials Page, including access to a free download of the Personnel Qualifications Document, Concrete International’s Building Safety Article Series and complimentary electronic copies of ACI codes, referenced in the I-Codes. ACI also sponsored the annual Ron Burton Golf Outing on October 19, 2025. The Ron Burton Golf Outing celebrates the life and work of renowned code expert William Ronald “Ron” Burton, who worked on many code-related projects for the Code Council, Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
