The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is excited to announce the rebrand of its annual People’s Choice Award to the ACI Members’ Choice Award, beginning with the 2025 ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Gala on October 27, 2025, during the Fall ACI Concrete Convention in Baltimore, Maryland. The ACI Excellence Awards is one of the industry’s most prestigious events, showcasing innovative projects and bringing together leading professionals to celebrate creativity, sustainability, and technical achievement. The evening concludes with the presentation of the “Overall Excellence” award, the highest honor in the concrete design and construction community. For the first time, voting will be placed directly in the hands of ACI Members. Following the Gala, current ACI Members will have 24 hours to cast their vote for the project they believe best represents excellence, innovation, and impact in the industry. The winning project will be recognized as the ACI Members’ Choice Award recipient. The new format strengthens fairness, enhances recognition, and highlights the expertise of ACI’s global membership. “The ACI Members’ Choice Award gives our members the unique opportunity to directly recognize excellence in concrete,” said John Conn, director, ACI Chapter Activities. “By allowing our members to decide, we are honoring their role as the leaders and innovators who shape the future of concrete construction.” The winning project will be announced on ACI’s digital platforms shortly after voting concludes, and the project team will receive recognition alongside the Excellence Awards winners. All active ACI Members will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to participate in voting. With more than 35,000 members in over 120 countries, ACI is the world’s leading community dedicated to advancing concrete knowledge, practice, and innovation. Membership provides access to codes and standards, free learning resources, networking, discounts, and now, the exclusive opportunity to vote in the ACI Members’ Choice Award.
