PRO: An ACI Center of Excellence for Advancing Productivity is proud to have welcomed three additional new members in recent months. Concrete Frame Associates (CFA) has joined at Bronze level, while Wayne Brothers Companies and CKC Structural Engineers have both joined as Gold members.
Concrete Frame Associates has been offering a comprehensive range of concrete construction-phase services since 1991, including concrete formwork, Division 03 turnkey solutions, concrete reinforcement, and shotcrete services. As “The Rocky Mountain region's leading provider of concrete formwork and reinforcement services,” CFA is headquartered in Colorado and extends its services to New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, and Idaho. The firm's proactive approach, dedication, extensive experience, and wide array of services make CFA an outstanding contributor to PRO's initiatives.
One of the pillars of PRO’s Mission is Collaboration, which is why PRO is thrilled to have Wayne Brothers Companies, whose core purpose is “Building TOGETHER in pursuit of EXCELLENCE” as its first Gold member! Founded in 1985, Wayne Brothers is a design-build specialty contractor headquartered in Davidson, North Carolina, with regional operation centers in Eagleville, TN, and Walterboro, SC. They deliver Engineering, Structural Concrete, Civil & Infrastructure, Geostructural, Process Piping, and Millwright services across the Southeast.
Those familiar with PRO and the American Concrete Institute will be familiar with Cary Kopczynski, PE, SE, FACI, FPTI, former ACI President and current chair of PRO’s Board of Directors. Cary also happens to be Senior Principal and CEO of CKC Structural Engineers, PRO’s newest Gold member. Another serial award-winning company, CKC Structural Engineers has locations in Washington and Illinois. CKC’s Buildable Design mantra “takes maximum advantage of efficient, productive, and contemporary construction techniques”, an obvious fit for PRO.
“I, along with everyone on PRO’s team, could not be more excited and grateful to welcome CFA, Wayne Brothers, and CKC. PRO’s vision is of a concrete industry where the productivity potential of contemporary materials and construction systems is fully realized and continually advanced. This is not possible without member backing, and the support of successful companies such as these are integral to PRO’s, and the entire industry’s, success.”
PRO and its members aim to advance new technologies and processes that improve concrete construction productivity beyond historic levels. To learn more about PRO and to get involved, visit www.concreteproductivity.org.
