Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I

Scope and Knowledge:

Candidates must have a working understanding of key ASTM test methods related to sampling, testing, and handling of freshly mixed concrete, including temperature, slump, density, air content, and field preparation and curing of test specimens.

Certification Requirements

Certification is awarded to applicants who successfully pass both the written and performance examinations.

The written exam is closed-book, lasts one hour, and consists of 55 multiple-choice questions covering the required ASTM standards. To pass, candidates must achieve at least 60% accuracy in each test method and a minimum overall score of 70%.
