This program is designed to prepare ACI-Certified Advanced Concrete Flatwork Finishers (also known as ACI Concrete Flatwork Finisher/Technician) with experience in commercial/industrial flatwork and have competency in operating a ride-on power trowel and using a highway straightedge (bump cutter). This review seminar will cover commercial/industrial slab construction and techniques for high-tolerance floors.

IMPORTANT: It is required to enroll in the Review Seminar as a prerequisite to taking the exam [TUFPE] and [TUCIF]. Separate registration & fees needed for review seminar [MO404] Monday 1:00PM – 5:00PM, performance exam [TUFPE] Tuesday 7:00AM – 1:00PM, and written exam [TUCIF] Tuesday 3:30PM – 5:30PM.

PREREQUISITE: Attendees are required to be ACI Certified Advanced Concrete Flatwork Finishers with experience and competency in operating a ride-on power trowel and using a highway straightedge (bump cutter) to participate in this performance examination.

Attendees will be evaluated on their ability to place, strike-off, and finish a high tolerance superflat slab. ACI-Certified Advanced Concrete Flatwork Finishers that successfully pass the written exam, performance exam, and provide verification of work experience, will be issued certification as an ACI Specialty Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Finisher & Technician.

NOTE: Limited number of hands-on performance examination allotments are available, so register early! Registered participants must be present for the entire performance examination.

IMPORTANT: ACI Las Vegas will provide all powered and hand tools needed for the performance exam plus safety equipment - it is required that participants wear work boots.

* Reference materials mailed to domestic addresses when attendee registers a minimum of two weeks prior to the show. Examinees from outside the United States can pay separately to have a reference package shipped or arrange to pick one up onsite at the show.

CANCELLATION POLICY: $100 non-refundable fee if examinee cancels registration for TUFPE performance exam.

DISCLAIMER: This is a MULTI-DAY COURSE that requires full attendance of the Review Seminar to participate in the Certification Exam, and late arrivals may be denied entry without exception. No refunds will be issued for participants who are turned away due to tardiness or absence from any portion of the course.


WRITTEN EXAM ID: TUCIF

DATE: Tuesday, January 20
TIME: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
COST: $360

The closed-book, two-hour written exam consisting of 80 multiple-choice questions is based on the ACI CP-11(08) workbook included with exam fee and mailed to canidates prior to the show.* Participants who score 70% or above will be certified as an ACI Speciality Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Technician. This written exam will satisfy Specialty Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Associate recertification need. To recertify as a Specialty Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Finisher you must take both the written and performance exam.

Participants can upgrade to full Specialty Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Finisher & Technician status upon successful passing of the written exam, performance exam, meeting the requirements of certification as an ACI Advanced Concrete Flatwork Finisher, and submittal/approval of 2,000 hours work experience specific to commercial/industrial concrete flatwork finishing.

CANCELLATION POLICY: $100 non-refundable fee if examinee cancels registration for TUCIF written exam.
