This review seminar will provide an overview of the seven ASTM field tests for ready-mixed concrete included in the ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification program. Participants will review testing procedures and why they are critical in providing accurate and reliable testing results. To certify as a Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I, candidates must pass a written exam and hands-on performance exam.

ACI publication CP-1 40th Edition is included when registering for the performance exam THFTP. ‘Seminar Only’ attendees not registered for the performance exam can purchase a copy of CP-1 at the review session to serve as a supplemental handout for the seminar.

IMPORTANT: Separate registration & fees needed for review seminar TU408 Tuesday 1:00PM – 5:00PM, written exam WEFTW Wednesday 3:30PM – 5:00PM, and performance exam THFTP Thursday (select preferred 2-hr time slot starting 8:00AM).

One-hour, closed-book written exam consisting of 55 multiple-choice and true-false questions based on ACI publication CP-1 40th Edition is included with THFTP performance exam registration. To certify as a Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, candidates must pass both written exam WEFTW and performance exam THFTP.

DISCLAIMER: This is a MULTI-DAY COURSE that requires full attendance of the Review Seminar to participate in the Certification Exam, and late arrivals may be denied entry without exception. No refunds will be issued for participants who are turned away due to tardiness or absence from any portion of the course.

Field Testing hands-on performance exam requires examinee to properly perform and record results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete. Performance exam registrants will have the opportunity to attend an open workshop where they can observe and participate in demonstrations for each of the testing procedures on Wednesday, 8:00AM – 12:00PM. To certify as a Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade I, candidates must pass both written exam WEFTW and performance exam THFTP. Workbook, CP-1 40th Edition, is included with performance examination registration and will be mailed* to candidates prior to the show.
