Bio: Rafael Caballero is a seasoned engineering professional with a robust academic foundation and over three decades of industry experience. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, blending technical expertise with strategic business insight. Rafael began his career in the Aerospace Engineering field, where he spent 11 years contributing to advanced technologies and high-performance systems. His work in aerospace laid the groundwork for a deep understanding of precision engineering and complex project execution. Transitioning into the Civil Engineering sector in South Florida, Rafael expanded his impact by applying his skills to infrastructure and construction innovation. For the past 25 years, he has been a key contributor at HILTI, where he continues to lead with excellence in engineering solutions, field operations, and customer engagement. A registered Professional Engineer in the state of Florida since 1996, Rafael brings a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement to every project he undertakes.

Abstract: This course provides an overview of the adhesive anchor market with a focus on field conditions impacting adhesive anchor performance. Manufacturers have rigorous testing standards for their anchors, and this course will review the codes and requirements that necessitate such standards. The participant will gain confidence in the ideal applications for adhesive anchors and will learn how best to help ensure proper installation of the specified product. At the conclusion of the course, participants will be introduced to new technologies in the market that minimize in-field performance risks.
