MINI SESSION: Advancements in Pervious Concrete Sustainability
Tuesday, October 28, 2025 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, M - Promenade
This Mini Session aims to integrate the attendees with the current pervious concrete practice. We will discuss new applications of pervious concrete further than flood control. In recent years, pervious concrete has played a major role in sustainability and pollution control. As any other concrete, quality control is key for good performance. Properly certified personnel is critical for the concrete to be tested appropriately. As part of this Mini Session, we will discuss the changes to the NRMCA Pervious Concrete Certification and its transfer to ACI. Learning Objectives:(1) Assess an updated view of advancements in pervious concrete technologies;(2) Demonstrate the new applications of pervious concrete for sustainability purposes;(3) Discuss the changes in ASTM standards as it related to the pervious concrete;(4) Report on the changes and updates to the NRMCA/ACI Pervious Concrete Certification. This session has been approved by AIA and ICC for 1 PDH (0.1 CEU). Please note: You must attend the live session for the entire duration to receive credit. On-demand sessions do not qualify for PDH/CEU credit.
