GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES:  The entire province of Alberta

 

MISSION:  The purpose of this Chapter is to further the American Concrete Institute chartered objective as stated, namely: to further education, technical practice, scientific investigations and research by organizing the efforts of its members for a non-profit, public service in gathering, correlating, and disseminating information for the improvement of the design, construction, manufacture, use, and maintenance of concrete products and structures.

MEETINGS/EDUCATION/SOCIAL EVENTS:

Luncheon/seminars conducted annually in Calgary and Edmonton

Annual Golf Outing-Riverbend Golf and Country Club

 

AWARDS PROGRAM:  ACI Alberta Awards of Excellence:

Held once every two years, the event recognizes outstanding design and construction efforts within Alberta's concrete industry. Innovation, creativity, and excellence in the use of concrete and concrete products will be highlighted in the categories of: Buildings, Bridges, Civil, Restoration, Advanced Concrete Construction

 

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP:    ACI Alberta Bursary

Currently the Chapter supports scholarships in the amount of $1500 each, at four post-secondary institutions in Alberta either directly or through endowment funds. Monies from our Annual Golf Tournament are used to boost the endowment funds.
