Abstract:
The majority of projects completed using ferroce-ment have been other than structural applications with marine use being the most often encountered. In this paper, applications specifically related to building construction with emphasis on more recent projects in developed countries are surveyed. Earlier applications are mentioned when needed to illustrate the full range of uses. Included are structural systems involving ferrocement for both long-span and highrise structures and a description of the construction of a large shaking earthquake simulation.*
