Abstract: Engineers of Turnpike Commission were confronted with t he task of p-lacing more than 4 million sq yd of 9-in. unrform reinforced concrete pavement in 2 1/2 The 1 2 ft pavement consisted of four lanes, each lane 160 miles long. The analysis of the problem and the steps taken to solve it are the subject matter of this paper.
