Abstract:Explains causes of shortcomings mentioned by .Eiy Jacques Kahn and gives present status of material. Cast stone being originally given role of imitative substitute, present users are advised to recognrze it as concrete, permit it to express its own character, exercise intelligent discrimination in its selection and purchase, permit sufficient time for curing and seasoning, and disregard individual manufacturers claims for superior merits of various manufacturing processes.
