Abstract: The moments in beams at the face of columns in rigid frames is less than the moment at the intersection of the center lines of the members. Also, the zone of intersection of the members, tends to cause an increase in stiffness at the ends. The problem is discussed and tentative method of obtaining the moment at face of column is proposed.
