Abstract:
Data are presented on the performance of a consistencv indicator installed in the mixer of already-mixed concrete plant. The device was developed to fill the need for uniform consistency and stren th results. Concrete is proportioned on a d h stren t trolled by producing the basis, and is considered consistency, the amount of water required having been predeter- mined in the laboratory. As long as consistency is ac- curate, strength results will be accurate, and this can only be controlled mechanically, The indicator gave other interesting results - re- duced the factor of safety and produced more uniform concrete.
