Abstract:
A powdered effectiveness in admixture should be rated by its producing the specific properties desired in concrete, in comparison with other means of producing the same effect. In this paper, several admixtures are rated in terms of the quantity of portland cement having the same effect as a unit quantity of admixture with respect to: (I) an equivalent chan e in compressive strength and (2) an equivalent c ange h in paste volume.
