Abstract: Field practices using multiple sizes of aggregate in having operations are cited. This separation of sizes elps eliminate segregation in transportation and stock piling. Cost and time study data are given for two-and three-way batching used in paving operations as well as plant layouts for the handling of multiple size aggregates.
