Abstract:
Represents a compromise between the requirements of the designer of reinforced concrete structures who is content to using building code moment and shear coefficients, and the designer who prefers to use more exact methods. The latter designer is handicapped because of the time element. He must turn out his designs quickly. In consequence, he must be provided with short-cut methods that will permit him to analyze the structural frame of a reinforced concrete building as a rigid frame, and permit him to do this quickly.
