Abstract:
Rectangular concrete beams were tested to destruct under combined bending and torsional loads. The bed contained only longitudinal reinforcement, and concr strength, amount of reinforcement, and moment tot-c ratios were varied. A theoretical model was developed fromthe observed failure mechanisms, and was used to check test results.
