Abstract:
Design and construction of foundation piers 2.5 feet in diameter or larger made by excavating hole in soil and then filling with concrete. Particular attention given soil properties and soils exploration. Two-step design procedure in-cludes (1) determination of overall pier size; (2) detailed design of concrete pier element.
