Abstract:
An experimental procedure for the optimization of high-performance concretes is proposed in terms of the paste fluidity, void content of the a agregate skeleton and paste content of the concrete The general methodology is defined in three systematic steps based on simple tests, which do not require sophisticated equipment, These steps yield the superplasticizer dosage, the sand/gravel ratio and the paste volume, respectively, for given water/cement and silica fume/cement ratios.
