Abstract:
The International bridge over the Miño river is located alt the highway that joins tuy (Spain) and Valença do Minho (Portugal). It is formed by two twin structures with straight plan and 380 m long. The structure is a frame of three spans of 105-170-105 m, fixed to the piers and simply supported at the abutment walls. The box-girder deck has a parabolic varying depth between 9,00 m in the joint with piers and 3,60 m in the middle of the spans. The top slab is 12,40 m wide and the box-girder is 6,50 m wide. The piers are a double wall in reinforced concrete, 7,00 m wide and 1,00 m deep, and the height is 24,00.
