Abstract:
Mechanized methods for installing concrete block paving (CBP), originally developed in Europe, have been introduced to North America. This mechanized technology can reduce the cost of CBP enough to make it competitive with conventional pavements. A recent pavement project in Dayton, Ohio, demonstrated the time and cost savings that are possible.
