Abstract:
Refineries and petrochemical plants have a variety of locations where process temperatures of 1000F to 3000F must be contained. . .A review is given of the various process units in typical refining and chemical process plants that use refractory materias. Criteria for refractory selection, design considerations, and installation techniques are detailed and suggestions on dry-out procedures are given.
