Title: Model Techniques and Response Tests of Reinforced Concrete Structures Subjected to Blast Loads
Author(s): Norval Dobbs and Edward Cohen
Publication: Special Publication
Appears on pages(s): 407-448
Abstract:Comparision of results of full-and model-scale explosive tests of cubicles and other similar reinforced concrete protective structures have shown that a reasonable estimate of the blast-resistant capabilities of these structures can be obtained from model tests as small as one-tenth scale. However, the results of the above tests have also indicated that care must be exercised in the preparation of the model and the test site as well as in the performance of the test in order to achieve the test data desired.
