Abstract:
Discusses actual distress conditions caused by the neglect of axial volume changes for different types of concrete structures. Basic data on creep, shrinkage and temperature change are presented for engineering design. A procedure is given for determinging the magnitude of axially restrained volume change foces in concrete structures.
