In an informal discussion on the subject of steel-concrete arches and other structures of similar composition, held at the Annual Convention of the American Society of Civil Engineers, June 26, 1906, two almost opposite opinions were expressed with regard to the relative costs of structural steel and of reinforced concrete for bridges.
