Abstract:
These tests were undertaken to obtain information on the practical workings of the information published by the Lewis Institute of Chicago, and the subsequent proposed spefications for concrete and reinforced-concrete by the Joint Committee on Concrete and Reinforced-Concrete. The possibility of obtaining concrete of a uniform and required strength is a matter of controversy and if it is practical to obtain same in field work has not yet been definitely proven.
