Abstract:
The 11th International Congress on Polymers in Concrete (ICPIC ‘04) was held June 2004 at the headquarters of the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing in Berlin and was cosponsored by ACI, RILEM, ENBRI, and TAE. This article traces the 25-year history of these congresses, reflects on the progress that has been made, and discusses current research on the use of polymers in concrete.
