Abstract: he variety of mixes produced in a ready-mixed concrete olant complicate the work og the inspector in varying the mix design to suit the consumer's desires. Materials handling methods, changes in brands of cements and the means provided for measuring admixtures add to the difficulties. Aids to overcome these difficulties are discussed and a meter for measuring consistency of concrete is described.
