Abstract:
Outstanding among the many elemts of work on the Colorado Freeway arch bridge over the Arroyo Seca in Pasedena, Calif., was the design and construction of moveable steel centering for the arch ribs. The 1364-ft bridge consists of twin arch ribs plus box girder approach spans. The moveable falsework and the erection and movement of it is described in detail.
