Q. What are the temperature limits for mass concrete? A. According to ACI 301 “Specifications for Concrete Construction”, the following temperature limits shall apply for mass concrete placements: Maximum temperature in concrete after placement shall not exceed 160°F (70°C). Maximum temperature difference between center and surface of placement shall not exceed 35°F (19°C).
