Student Competitions
ACI's nationally recognized student competitions, offered in cooperation with the ACI Student Activities Committee, give students the opportunity to participate in interesting and educational concrete projects.
Important Announcements
Nine undergraduate teams participated in the ACI Virtual Eco Concrete Competition that was hosted in the Spring following the ACI Concrete Convention. The teams submitted their projects online via YouTube and the students took part in a live interview with volunteer judges on Zoom the week of May 19, 2025. The objective of the Eco Concrete Competition is to promote the idea of environmental performance in concrete mix designs. The event was sponsored by ACI Committee 130-G Education and ACI S801 Student Competitions Committee.
Hosted by the American Concrete Institute, each episode brings together pairs of young professionals in the concrete industry engaging for intimate conversations about their life and work. Open Competitions
Design and build the highest-impact load-resistant ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) egg protection device (EPD). Learn about and report on the sustainability, durability, impact resistance, and other benefits of UHPC. Awards and overall results will be announced during the Student Awards at the ACI Concrete Convention in Baltimore, MD, USA, on Monday, October 27, 2025.
