Abstract:
The ACI Arizona Chapter and the ACI Arizona State University Student Chapter are working together to make lightweight pink concrete heart necklaces for the ACI Fall 2013 Convention in Phoenix, AZ. The necklaces will be available for a small donation as a reminder that breast cancer does not need to be a death sentence. The goal of the project was not only to boost awareness of the fight against cancer but also to show students that concrete can be custom-made and used to create truly artful and functional products.
