Description
This is a recorded webinar from November 17, 2026.
This webinar is Part 1 of a five-part series on the Additive Construction by Concrete Extrusion. This series is about the emerging technology of 3D printed concrete and its application in concrete construction. Based on the forthcoming ACI 564 Emerging Technology Report on 3D Printed Concrete, the series follows the report’s chapter sequence to introduce key topics such as foundational terminology, processing platforms, printable materials, quality control, case studies, and future research needs. Each webinar focuses on selected chapters and provides a structured overview of current knowledge, practical considerations, and ongoing developments in additive construction by concrete extrusion. Viewing all parts is encouraged but not required.
Part 1 webinar, Introduction into 3D Printed Concrete, introduces the foundational concepts covered in Chapters 1 and 2 of the forthcoming ACI 564 Emerging Technology Report on 3D Printed Concrete. The webinar will define key terminology, explain the basic principles of 3D printed concrete, and provide context for additive construction by concrete extrusion as an emerging technology in concrete construction.
