This is a recorded webinar from September 20, 2022.
Testing and inspection plays an important role in a reinforced concrete building construction project’s outcome. Constructive communication between design engineers, construction contractors, and construction managers from preconstruction meetings, concrete design mix reviews, project document reviews, in-progress inspections, and test results, can keep a project manageable and on schedule. It’s important that use of current communication and testing technology (such as the use of maturity meters) and adequate staffing are available and the needs defined and understood in advance.
Table of Contents
1. Describe importance of on-site testing and inspection of construction methods and issues that increase constructability.
2. Explain the importance of project specific qualifications for testing and inspection personnel.
3. Identify key concrete construction project elements and key participants’ responsibilities to be discussed at a preconstruction concrete placement meeting.
4. Discuss the benefits of communication between the contractor and other team members that leads to improved constructability and productivity.
