Abstract:
Controlled low strength materials (CLSMs) have found acceptance for such environment-enhancing applications as protecting groundwater re-sources, minimizing damage from moving water, and alleviating problems caused by moving water. CLSMs are defined by ACI Coin¬mittee 229 as fill materials that reach 1200 psi (8274 kPa) uncon¬fined compressive strength or less.
