Abstract:
Reports on current knowledge of the use of recycled concrete as aggregate in concrete construction. Economic and environmental pressures justify consideration of this alternative material source. Although recycled concrete may have properties somewhat different than many natural aggregates, strong durable concrete can be made using it if proper attention is paid to laboratory testing, mix design, and construction.
