Abstract:
The owners of this building asked for a well-designed, architecturally pleasing structure that would be economical to build and to maintain. The most economical solutions were sought for every design problem. Without sacrificing design of material quality, this effort saved the owners a considerable amount in construction costs. The reinforced con-crete building was completed on time and within budget. The significance of the project was that economy, difficult siting, and architectural requirements can be met by utilizing innovative structural design that is practical, functional, and economical.
