Abstract:
Problems of air entrainment in concrete have been particularly interesting to the ready-mixed concrete industry which has to meet a wide variety of speclftcation requirements. This prompted exploratory studies in the Research Laboratory of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Assocation. Data are reported on effect of entrained air on compressive strength and mixing water requirements. Other factors considered are: mixing time, grading of aggregate, temperature, ratio of sodium hydroxide to Vinsol resin, compari sion of fresh and hardened con at different depths of concrete.
