Abstract:
Summarizes the opinions expressed by members of Committee 609, Vibration of Concrete, in reply to a questionnaire devised by the committee chairman The questionnaire was instrumental in developing a program for the further work of the committee, by indicating (I) what truths or generally accepted find- ings regarding vibration as a means of compacting, concrete have emerged from previous investigation and experience, and (2) what important phases of the subject remain to be investigated to remove them from the field of speculation and controversy.
