Abstract:
Results of a comprehensive,. correlated series of tests on concrete masonry units made with seven different aggregates, cinders, Haydite, limestone, Pott- sco, sand and gravel, Superock, and Waylite. Comparative data show the effect of two different types of molding, vibration, and tamping on compressive strength, absorption, capillarity, specific weight, durability, volume change, and thermal expansion coef-ficient for each aggregate. Similar comparative data are presented for variations in cement content for each aggregate.
