Abstract:
By the moment area principle simple formulas are derived for the analysis of windbracing systems which enable engineers to design tall building frames in a surprisingly short time. Simple formulas are also aiven for windbracing systems with great variation of column and girder sizes, spans, and story heights. pre-By the same method formulas are derived for the shear deflections of windbracing skeletons and for the mold-deflectionsdue to longitudinal stresses. Simple formula
