Abstract:
In the design of prestressed concrefe strucfures if is necessary to take into account the effects of shrinkage and creep, which cause a reduction of the initial prestressing forces. This paper reports on tests of the four major factors that contribute to shrinka 8 and creep. Equations are derived, based on the data oob tained from the tests, for determining the combined shortening effects of creep and shrinkage.
