Abstract:
The prepakt method is used both in the restoration of old concrete and masonry structures and in certain types of new construction such as underwater work and work where the proper placement of conventional concrete would be difficult or impossible. The method is described, as are also the materials employed. The types of repairs or which the method is particularly well adapted are given. Mix proportioning methods are discussed. Methods of test for fresh prepakt grouts and hardened prepakt concrete are given. The properties of prepakt and con-ventionalconcrete are compared.
