Abstract:
A series of papers based on a symposium presented at the 1966 ACI Fall Meeting in New Orleans. The series reviews the special thinking and considerations required for architectural concrete which must be structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and as economical as possible. The papers view the subject from the standpoint of architect, engineer, and builder. Following a brief introduction, four authors cover, in turn, the architect’s approach, structural implications, planning requirements, and construction.
